COMMISSION INFORMATION

Underneath, “I” refers to the artist Cassadabra, and “you” refers to the buyer.


i. general terms


  • Every commission must have references provided. This can be a mood board, photos of poses, your character ref sheet, or even a written description of the commission

  • I am allowed to show the piece off in-progress whether that be streaming it live or posting work in progress images online.*

  • I am allowed to post commissioned works on social media and/or in my portfolio.*

  • The commission must be paid in full before I start working on it. USD only.

    • Partial payment may be discussed.

  • I have the right to decline any requests I do not feel suited to draw.

  • The commission may take from 2 weeks all the way to 4 months to be completed depending on my workload. Your commission may come sooner if I am free at the moment of your request.

  • Posting your commission online is okay, and I ask that you credit me, please.

  • Some commissions will have extra fees based on additional items and complexity.

  • For digital commissions:

    • You will receive a digital file of the commission as your purchase.

  • For traditional commissions:

    • You will receive the artwork through the mail. You are also responsible for shipping and handling fees in addition to the price of the commission.


  • Commission requests I am most likely to decline:

    • mecha

    • offensive themes

    • furry*

    • heavy armor

    • elderly characters

    • nsfw*

ii. extra notes


  • I generally work in the order of commission received, however, I will hop around commissions occasionally if I feel stuck working on one piece.

  • Feel free to message me at any time for updates, and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

  • Subject matters I am most confident in:

    • females

    • fantasy

    • cute characters

    • portraits

  • If I accept commissions containing mecha or heavy armor, it will take longer to complete your commission than ones not containing those.


iii. payment


  • The payment for the commission must be fully paid for and received before starting.

    • Payment plans may be created on rare occasions if agreed upon by both parties, but the first payment must be received prior to the start of the commission.

    • Payment plans are not an option for commissions cheaper than $100USD.

  • Accepted currency is USD only. (Sites like PayPal will convert currencies)

  • Payments are processed through PayPal invoices, Square, or Venmo.

iv. special pricing


  • Certain subject matters will be priced at a higher rate:

    • NSFW:

      • This type of commission is an additional 150% of the base price.

      • ex: SFW version price: $120 -> NSFW version price: $300

      • I may decline the more hardcore requests. Please contact me to see if I will accept.

    • Furry/Anthropomorphic:

      • This type of commission is an additional 150% of the base price.

      • ex: Humanoid price: $120 -> Furry/Anthropomorphic price: $300

      • NSFW Furry/Anthropomorphic is an additional 250% of the base humanoid price.

      • ex: SFW version price: $300 -> NSFW version price: $420

  • Privacy Fee

    • With a privacy fee, I will not post your commission publicly nor stream it.

      • Permanent privacy fee is a flat rate of $50USD.

      • For a privacy fee of $25USD, I will be able to share your commission publicly after a set date agreed upon by both parties.

        • ex: Do not share until month/day/year; Do not share until my vTuber debuts @ month/day/year

      • NDA’s are to be discussed, and are different from the privacy fee shown above.

  • Rush Fee

    • Rush Fee is a flat rate of $500USD

      • The price of the rush fee is to deter anyone from abusing it.

    • Rush fee pushes you ahead of the commission list if there is one.

    • Makes me finish your commission within 2 days - 2 weeks.

      • The more complicated the commission the longer it may take.

      • I will simply finish your commission as fast as possible.

      • In the event that your commission has not been completed within 2 weeks, the rush fee will be refunded.

        • Only the rush fee will be refunded, the rest of the commission payment is non-refundable.

    • Read the Commercial Usage section for more information.


v. cancellations and refund policy

  • No refunds are allowed unless the work has not been started yet.

  • If you decide to cancel the commission halfway through, no refund will be given nor will the amount be stored as credit for future commissions.


vi. copyrights


  • As the artist, I retain all copyrights over the commissioned work.

  • By commissioning me, you have a license to use my work for the purpose it was intended for and personal use.

  • You are allowed to use the artwork for personal use.

    • ex: printing the artwork on a shirt and giving it to yourself/your friend

  • You are allowed to post the artwork online.

  • You are allowed to livestream with the artwork.

  • You are not allowed to reproduce or redistribute the artwork commercially without paying the commercial fee.

  • You are not allowed to claim the artwork as your own.

    • Nor are you allowed to edit the artwork and claim in as your own. You can claim it as your edit, but must credit me as the original artist and must not monetize without paying the commercial fee.


vii. commercial usage

  • My commissions are meant for personal use, to gain the right for commercial usage and an additional fee is required.

  • The commercial fee generally costs 150% to 300% more than the base price of the commissioned work.

  • The commercial fee depends on the scale of the market where the commission will be monetized. Please contact me to discuss further, and give me an offer.

  • The commercial fee does not have the be bought at the same time as the commissions.

    • You can come back later and pay the fee to use the artwork for commercial purposes.

  • For streaming assets:

    • Independent vtubers, vtubers not belonging to any agency, do not have to pay a commercial usage fee as it is included in the pricing for creating the vtuber assets(art, design, and rig).

    • Vtubers belonging to an agency have to pay a commercial fee of 150% of the total price of the vtuber assets(art, design, and rig).

    • Emotes, Alerts, Overlays, and Panel Art have no commercial usage fee, as long as it is not being reproduced or redistributed as physical merchandise.

      • ex: You may not sell alerts as keychains without paying the commercial fee.


by commissioning me you are agreeing with the terms listed above whether you read them or not
any changes to the terms must be established prior to the commission.

The Process

  1. You shall send me the email regarding the commission.

  2. I will accept or decline it. If accepted, I will send you an invoice.

  3. Payment is received.

  4. A rough sketch is sent for feedback. (except for sketch commissions sometimes)

  5. Finished commission will be sent.
